Don’t be a Baby. Grow up!

Most of the important and urgent needs you give in to, from others, are really just excuses to fail at making your own life fulfilling. Consider this , you decide you are going to do something regularly, say, everyday, something that is good for your health, your future, but then along comes someone to derail you.

Always these exceptions

Always these interruptions

Always these reasons

Always these emergencies

Always these moods

Always this "not feeling like it" or "too tired"

You let thoughts from yourself and others take you off your path and then you cry later about how you are a loser, a failure, or how unsatisfying life is. So, remember WHATEVER it is, "this too shall pass away". Nobody is going to die if you stick to what you need to do for you. If they are going to die, take care of them, for goodness sakes, but come on, most of the time, you can get to it later or it just finds a way to take care of itself, themselves.

Never let excuses derail your self-disciplined good habits, so long as they are worthy goals. Because when you look at it, no one else is going to fight for them but you. I hate to tell you this, but most people do not give a rats ass if you are healthy. They care about themselves. And the question comes, was your life or anyone else's all that positively effected by putting aside what is best for you? How much good did giving IN, when you look at the whole picture, really do? Sometimes the answer will be that it was, indeed, a good idea. But most of the other times, it just weakened your resolve and you fell farther behind and you lost respect and belief in yourself! And then you gave up sometimes for weeks, sometimes for years and sometimes forever. Look back. You will see.

You know there is something you were called to do in life, be in life. Isn't that true? It has burned inside of you. You kick yourself because you haven't done it or can't stick to it. Don't give up. Today, make a brand new commitment. You don't have to wait until New Year's Day. Let your new year start now. Stand up for yourself. YOUR life is just as important as anyone else's. In fact, when you don't take care of yourself, first, you hurt people. You heard me right.

Why? Because we influence each other so much. People are observing you even if they are not aware of it. What are you teaching people by making excuses? It's time to grow up. It's time to teach that putting off INSTANT gratification is a higher and better way to live. That when you first do what is best, that you can have greater pleasure later and that those pleasures are so much more rewarding.
